Which bank or broker lets an AI agent trade in Spain?
In short: As of 31 Oct 2026, no Spanish bank: 0 of 8 let an AI agent trade, and only BBVA and CaixaBank have information apps in ChatGPT. Five providers authorised in Spain have an official tool that lets the agent trade (Scalable Capital, Trading 212, eToro, Bit2Me and Revolut X), but none publishes that the feature is available in Spain.
Key findings
- October brought autonomy, but not to Spain. Interactive Brokers and Binance now let AI trade without per-order approval, but neither reaches a client in Spain.
- European brokers and exchanges open the door: Scalable Capital, Trading 212, eToro, Bit2Me and Revolut X. Spanish banks stay closed: only information apps in ChatGPT.
- The fine print: none of those 5 publishes that its agent feature is available in Spain. They operate here but don't confirm it in writing.

A licence is not AI access
19 providers authorised in Spain have an official tool that lets the agent trade. This is what they publish about Spain:
| What they publish | Providers |
|---|---|
| AI access confirmed in Spain | 0 |
| Operates here; AI access unconfirmed | 5 |
| Nothing published | 12 |
| Not available in Spain | 2 |
The twist: the only 4 providers that confirm AI access in Spain in writing don't let the agent trade. MyInvestor, Indexa Capital and CaixaBank are read only; Interactive Brokers drafts orders for you to send.
What changed in October
- · CaixaBank launches an official app inside ChatGPT to look up and compare its products, customer or not. It does not access your account or sign you up for anything. Per Expansión, it is the first Spanish bank to do this in its home market. Source
- · Interactive Brokers launches Autonomous Trading: your AI places orders without asking each time. But it does not reach IB Ireland, the entity for clients in Spain: here the agent drafts the order and you press the button. Source
- · Binance launches AI Pro, an agent inside its own app. It does not connect to ChatGPT or Claude, and Binance is not authorised in Spain: it is not on ESMA's MiCA register. Source
- · eToro connects your account to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Grok Bot through MCP connectors: you sign in with your username, no API keys, and approve every action. The launch that matters most for Spain. Update (2 Nov): in ChatGPT it now connects from desktop only. Source

Methodology
Every week we check each provider's official documentation and the CNMV, Banco de España and ESMA (MiCA) registers. If something isn't documented we mark it "nothing published" rather than assume. CFD-only providers are excluded from the Spain-authorised trading count. Figures as of 31 Oct 2026; report published 3 Nov 2026. Every provider's data, with sources, is in the index and in providers.json (CC BY 4.0).
Notices
Information only: not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, nor a personal recommendation. Investing involves risk, including losing all your capital. Check the provider is authorised in your country (in Spain: the CNMV / Banco de España registers) before opening an account. Paid content is always labelled "Advertising" and never changes the data or the order of the index. No provider paid to appear and this report contains no affiliate links.
CFD warning (Trading 212, Interactive Brokers and eToro offer CFDs): CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing your money. This report covers AI-agent access only; we do not promote CFD trading.
Crypto-assets are highly volatile; you may lose all the money you invest.
